Phytoseiulus Persimilis actively hunts and eats all staged of mites, from eggs to adults. Ideal for protecting edible, consumable and ornamental crops from the ravages of spider mite. Because Phytoseiulus Persimilis reproduces faster than the spider mites they feed on (capable of doubling their population every two days), they're able to fully eradicate pest populations after a suitable period of time. Each Phytoseiulus Persimilis can eat five adult Spider Mites and 20 Spider Mite larvae each day.

Phytoseiulus Persimilis thrives in warm, humid environments, making it ideal for early vegetative stages of your plant's cycle, but less suitable for mid-late flower when drier conditions are favourable. This species is also unable to support itself without the presence of prey to feed on, so is best used on established populations.

For spider mite predators that are more suited as a preventative and also thrive in hotter, drier conditions, choose the Amblyseius Californicus. For the most effective approach to organically control a spider mite infestation, consider combining both species.

Rates of use:

•    Low Level Curative (low population infestations) - 20 mites per m2
•    Curative (more serious infestations) - 50 mites per m2
