This product is only available as a special order and from collection in-store. Please contact us directly.
Amblyseius Californicus targets spider mite eggs, nymphs and some adults. Ideal for protecting edible, consumable and ornamental crops from the ravages of spider mite.
Amblyseius Californicus thrives in hot, dry environments, making it ideal for the later stages of your plant's cycle, but less suitable for early growth and vegetative phases when more humid conditions are favourable. This species is especially suited to tackle webbing found on top growth under HID/HPS lighting, however consideration should be given to the timescales needed to eradicated established populations in late flower.
This species is able to support itself without the presence of spider mites, possessing the ability to eat pollen and other live prey, so is also ideal as a lay-in-wait preventative.
For spider mite predators that are more suited for cooler, more humid conditions, choose the Phytoseiulus Persimilis species. For the most effective approach to organically control a spider mite infestation, consider combining both species.
Rates of use:
• Low Level Curative (low population infestations) - 20 mites per m2
• Curative (more serious infestations) - 50 mites per m2
Repeat fortnightly dependent on monitoring and conditions.
